Lecturer in the Economics Department at Towson University
Raquel is passionate about narrowing the gender gap when it comes to financial literacy and believes that every girl should feel financially empowered. In support of her passion, in her spare time, she has been working with the Maryland Council on Economic Education for over a year. The Council is focused on providing teachers with the tools to provide effective economic and financial education. Her primary role is as a Lecturer in the Economics Department at Towson University teaching undergraduate micro and macro economics courses. Raquel lives in Baltimore with her husband and two young kids (both of whom have already started an “investment” piggy bank).
